Notice to Exporters

  • Jan 29, 2019
  • 1 min read

During the past 7 months, HM Revenue & Customs has issued compound penalties ranging between £1,000 - £4,000 to 3 separate UK Exporters.

These fines relate to breaches of UK Export Control Regulations 2008 and to unlicensed exports of dual use goods.

Export control legislation is enforced by HMRC, working with the Crown Prosecution Service. Where appropriate, HMRC can use their powers to offer a compound penalty rather than prosecution.

If you are concerned about your UK Export procedures, please contact our Export Control Team at Sales@mies.co.uk / Tel: 01332 813260 - "we are always here to help"
